Terms of service
Last updated 21 October 2026
These terms apply to the RainBrain weather data service at rainbrain.tech: the website, the client portal and the weather data API (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you have a separate written agreement with us, that agreement takes precedence where it differs.
The Service
RainBrain collects data from weather stations and provides it through a client portal and an API. Clients get access to the stations agreed with them. We may improve or change features over time.
Accounts and API keys
- Keep your password and API keys confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account and keys.
- Tell us promptly at admin@rainbrain.tech if you think a key or password has been exposed; you can also generate a new key in the portal at any time.
Acceptable use
Do not try to access stations or data you were not given, disrupt or overload the Service, get around its security, or resell access to the API unless we have agreed to it in writing.
Weather data
Data comes from automatic sensors and is checked automatically for faulty readings, but it can still contain gaps, delays or errors. It is provided “as is” for information. Do not rely on it alone for decisions where an error could cause injury or serious loss; for official forecasts and warnings, follow PAGASA and your local authorities.
Availability
We aim to keep the Service available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, network problems or third-party services (such as the station platform or mobile networks) may cause interruptions.
Fees
Fees, if any, are set out in your quotation or agreement with us.
Ownership
The Service, its software and design belong to RainBrain. Your use of the data you are given access to is set out in your agreement with us; unless agreed otherwise, you may use it for your own operations and products.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend access that breaks these terms or puts the Service at risk. You may stop using the Service at any time; access ends as set out in your agreement.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, RainBrain is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by inaccurate, delayed or missing data. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
Privacy
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will post changes on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
